'Magic Chairs' sees them embracing pop as never before: lushly arranged, near-orchestral songs with soaring vocals clothed in layers of horns, strings, keyboards and guitar. The closest contemporary relative is probably Wild Beasts, but there's echoes that stretch back to the Associates and Kate Bush too.
