Released in 1993, 'Debut' is Bjork's first solo album following the break-up of the Sugarcubes. Co-produced by Nellee Hooper, who had previously worked his magic on the debut long players of Soul II Soul and Massive Attack, 'Debut' finds Bjork in playful, expansive mood. Sugarcubes - Life's Too Good
Over their six-year career (1986 - 1992) The Sugarcubes gained international renown for the unique sound they cultivated, garnering fans such as luminary John Peel, achieving unprecedented success for an Icelandic band at the time and influencing the country’s musical scene dramatically. The Sugarcubes emerged from the ashes of numerous Icelandic acts, including Benediktsson and Ólafsson’s Purrkur Pillnikk - later K.U.K.L, who released several singles through the fiercely independent British label Crass Records in the early 1980s. K.U.K.L eventually morphed into The Sugarcubes, who eventually signed to One Little Indian in 1987, cueing the start of a working relationship that continues to blossom some 20 plus years later. ‘Life’s Too Good’, released in April 1988 (making it 25 years old), was the first album by the band, which brought fame to lead vocalist Björk. Neon green coloured vinyl.

Samaris - Black Lights
Written and recorded over the past year in Berlin, Reykjavik and Ireland, ‘Black Lights’ is Icelandic trio Samaris’ most fully realised and accessible record yet, sung for the first time entirely in English. ‘Black Lights’ is a reflection on both the expanded horizons afforded by a year of experiences on the road following the release of 2014’s ‘Silkidrangar’ and of a period of change and not a little emotional turmoil for all three band members.

Marry Waterson & David A. Jaycock - Two Wolves
Marry Waterson returns with a brand new album, Two Wolves, made in collaboration with David A. Jaycock. The songs themselves cover a wide range of subject material, from laments about disappearing village communities (‘Hoping To Be Saved’) to the title track’s reflection on the duality of human nature. Two songs explicitly acknowledge the Waterson legacy: The words to ‘The Honey & The Seaweed’ are fashioned from an original Lal Waterson lyric, written out of love for her friend and co-writer Christine Collins and set down in the late 60s in a book containing early Bright Phoebus songs. ‘Velvet Yeller’ meanwhile utilizes Mike Waterson’s recording of Tam Lin to startling effect. “I got to ‘sing’ with him one more time by weaving him into this tribute, which he read before he died,” says Marry of the song.

Penny Rimbaud - What Passing Bells
Co-founder of '70s/'80s anarchist punk band Crass, activist, poet, novelist and philosopher Penny Rimbaud has created an album in which he faithfully recites a collection of Wilfred Owen's War Poetry (backed by jazz cellist Kate Short, and pianist, Liam Noble) in memory of the centenary of Owen's death. In presenting Owen’s poetry in a new way, Rimbaud seeks to introduce Owen's deep sense of humanity to audiences who otherwise might never have heard of him. Penny said: “It is a daunting task, but one which I take on gladly. As Owen himself wrote, ‘the poetry is in the pity’; the most I can do is to attempt to honour that.”
