Do Nothing return with their second album, Friend World, a confident and energetic follow-up that builds on the sharp songwriting and restless momentum of their debut. The Nottingham quartet lean into punchy guitars, propulsive rhythms and frontman Chris Bailey’s incisive lyricism, creating a record packed with immediacy and character. Lead single 'Stars' sets the tone, combining shimmering synths, hypnotic riffs and elastic basslines into one of the band's most infectious tracks to date. Beneath the album’s driving exterior, however, lies a more thoughtful side. Songs such as 'These People Want Blood' and 'Loner' reveal a quieter, more introspective approach, adding depth to the band's wiry post-punk sound. Balancing urgency with reflection, Friend World finds Do Nothing expanding their range without losing the wit and energy that define them.
