West Coast producer Bill Silva had a whole LP of soul/rock from the little-known outfit the Afterglows in his vaults. Among the tracks was a killer cover of Barbara Lynn’s ‘I’m A Good Woman’. Any version of this song is popular, but the female lead on this number takes it to another level. This will crossover to many soul scenes. The flip, ‘Open The Door To Love’, is a northern soul-oriented dancer that is both catchy and atmospheric and will be greeted as a great “new” release by collectors of this esoteric genre.
