Finally, the second album from The Sunny Smiles Three - tales of mystery, imagination, death, fighting, the Ark of the Covenant and Little Richard. Acoustic guitar, singing, drums, bass guitar and some other bits and pieces - woven into a fine cloth and ectoplasm-ed from a seer's mouth. Something like that anyway.
Highly Recommended second album by the Sunny Smiles Three. Intellegent songwriting that rather cleverly aligns some great observations with some uber hooky musicianship to create genuinely memorable tunes. Acoustic in nature this lines up nicely alongside I Am Kloot, The Kinks and Beautiful South and even Skip Spence. Just check out the slow lolling mesmerism of Sun Side On or the rollocking groove of 'Building'. I loved their first album and wanted more and they've given it in droves.
