Featuring a full supporting band, 'Way Out Weather' builds on the excellent 'Time Off' album as an example of Steve Gunn's more 'traditional' songwriting style (as opposed to his more avant garde stuff, which is also worth investigating). Hazily psychedelic songs that recall Tim Buckley, Spiritualized and JJ Cale alongside American folk roots, and especially country-rock tendencies. Highly recommended...
